The New American Mainstream

By April 11, 2022Updates

Rick SanchezThere is a movement afoot in America — it’s been happening right under our noses, and it’s extremely significant, because it spells out what our culture and our economy will look like for the next decade, and the next 10 decades.

It’s called the New American Mainstream — a community of people led by Latinos in America who speak English and are among the most entrepreneurial bunch this country has ever seen. They are youngest, the fastest-growing, and in fact, if they were a standalone country, they would be the 7th-largest economy in the world.

Yet, with all that said, they remain generally voiceless and underserved — especially when it comes to how they are represented content-wise in America, whether that’s on TV, in movies, on news, radio, streaming, or podcasts.

Rick Sanchez, noted journalist, author, and CEO of the newly launched Agua Media will address those issues at the Hispanic Radio Conference, June 22-23 at the Intercontinental at Doral in Miami.

Rick Sanchez has been a journalist, author, correspondent, and television news anchor for more than 25 years.

Sanchez has worked extensively over the years as a host and producer at networks such as CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Univision, and iHeartRadio. Many of Sanchez’s interviews with newsmakers have gone viral and can still be seen on YouTube. Among the most notable: Fidel Castro, Jimmy Carter, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bill Clinton, and Manuel Noriega.

He has turned his attention and is using his media background now to focus on what he calls the “New American Mainstream.”

Sanchez says, “I am really looking forward to speaking at the Hispanic Radio Conference, especially as our culture and economy will look significantly different in the next decade.”
